2026 Tundra TRD Pro TRD Performance Package: 466 HP for $2,999

The TRD Performance Package adds dual TRD intakes, a cat-back exhaust and a new engine calibration to the 2026 Tundra TRD Pro, taking it from 437 hp to 466 hp for $2,999. Torque stays at 583 lb-ft. It's a factory package, so it keeps the warranty, but it needs premium fuel.
So, Toyota loaned me a 2026 Tundra TRD Pro in Wave Maker for a week, and it had this package on it. There's no code or affiliate link in this post. This is just what's in the package, what it costs you and what I thought of the sound.
What you get for $2,999
- Dual TRD intakes. Larger, higher-flowing intakes that push more air to the turbos.
- TRD cat-back exhaust. It flows better, cuts back pressure and has its own exhaust tip.
- Software. Toyota updates the engine management calibration and gives it unique throttle tuning.
- A tailgate badge. A TRD Performance badge on the back of the truck.
Toyota says the kit is installed before the truck reaches the dealer, and it comes with a full factory-backed warranty. So the warranty question is already answered before you sign anything.
Stock vs TRD Performance Package
| Stock TRD Pro | With the package | |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | i-FORCE MAX hybrid | i-FORCE MAX hybrid |
| Horsepower | 437 hp | 466 hp |
| Torque | 583 lb-ft | 583 lb-ft |
| Package price | Not on the truck | $2,999 |
One thing you may run into when you search this. When Toyota first announced the package in October 2023, the press release said 469 hp and $3,400. The numbers on the 2026 truck are 466 hp and $2,999. So if you see both, that's probably why. Confirm the price on the window sticker of the truck you're looking at.
What it sounds like
I shot a POV drive so you can hear it for yourself, so turn your volume up. In my opinion the tone is perfect. It's not too loud, there's just enough rumble, and I could not stop smiling.
The trade-offs
Premium fuel. This is the catch. Toyota says 91 octane is essential to reach the rated output, so plan on buying it every time. Every 2026 Tundra has a 32.2-gallon tank, so that extra cost per gallon adds up on each fill.
The gain is modest on paper. You're getting 29 more horsepower and no more peak torque. So if you're shopping purely by the spec sheet, that's what $2,999 buys you.
I don't have test numbers for you. I don't have 0-60 times or real-world MPG for this package, so I'm not going to guess at them. My full review of the TRD Pro is still coming.
What else is on the truck I drove
The package is separate from what makes it a TRD Pro. FOX shocks and forged BBS wheels are part of the TRD Pro itself, and the i-FORCE MAX hybrid is what makes the 437 hp before you add anything. Wave Maker is exclusive to the TRD Pro for 2026, so you can't get that color on another grade.
My verdict
If you're already buying a TRD Pro and you want it to sound the part with no warranty questions, this is the package to look at. If you don't want to buy premium at every fill-up, this package isn't for you. For me personally, the sound is what stood out, and it's the reason I could not stop smiling.
