How to use the code

1. Go to c4fabrication.com and pick the part for your exact year and model.
2. Add it to your cart and open checkout.
3. Type tvoventures in the discount code box. All lowercase, no spaces.
4. Check that the 5% comes off before you pay.

Most stores take one code per order. 5% isn't huge, but on a bumper it adds up. If C4 is running a bigger sale, compare the sale price against 5% off and use whichever saves you more. C4 also has a Military/First Responder discount linked in their site footer. If you qualify, check whether that one beats mine.

Why I trust C4

So, C4 bumpers have been on our own trucks since 2021. That year we swapped the front bumper on our 2020 Tundra for a full plated C4 bumper, and since we were already swapping, we went with the matching C4 rear bumper too.

The next year we did a full armor update on our 2017 Tacoma: the C4 Overland front bumper, the C4 Overland Series high clearance rear bumper and C4 full skid plates. Honest trade-off: all that steel weighs the Tacoma down. But it feels like a tank now, and it can take a hit from pretty much anything we run into.

On a 4th gen Tacoma we went with the C4 hybrid front bumper. What stood out to me was the clean welds, the fitment, and how well it matches the truck's body lines. And whatever brand you buy, I always recommend looking closely at the weld quality before you buy a bumper.

We've also wheeled with the C4 crew. Back in 2021 we ran Argentine Pass in Colorado with some of their team and a few locals. We took our Tundra, and C4 brought their wide-body long travel Tundra. The top of the pass is around 13,000 feet.

Which C4 bumper fits your truck

Here's what C4 lists on their site right now for the Toyotas most of you are driving. Lineups change, so always check the product page for your exact year before you order.

They also make parts for older Tacomas, Tundras and 4Runners, the 250 Series Land Cruiser, and the Lexus GX470, GX460 and GX550, including roof racks and MOLLE panels for some of them.

Overland, Hybrid or Lo-Pro?

• If you want full coverage up front, look at the Overland bumpers. That's what we've run on our 2017 Tacoma and our 2020 Tundra.
• If you want an aggressive look and more room for lights, the Hybrid has a plated center with tube wings. On the 4th gen Tacoma it kept the factory sensors (TSS and adaptive cruise) working, so no warning lights on the dash.
• If you mainly want a winch mount and a low-profile look, check out the Lo-Pro Winch bumper. On a 2018 4Runner build we did, the C4 Lo-Pro had hidden cut lines.
