LensunSolar Discount Code: TVO10 for 10% Off (2026)

I earn a commission if you buy through these links or codes, at no extra cost to you. I only list brands I've used or tested on my own trucks.

Quick answer

The LensunSolar discount code is TVO10, for 10% off at lensunsolar.com. I've run Lensun hood solar panels on my 2nd gen Tundra, a 2024 Tacoma and a 5th gen 4Runner, and each panel is cut to fit one specific hood.

How to use the code

  1. Go to lensunsolar.com and open the hood panel for your exact truck and generation.
  2. Pick the option you want: panel only, panel plus vinyl decal, panel plus MPPT controller, or the complete kit with all three.
  3. At checkout, type TVO10 in the discount code box. All caps, no spaces.
  4. Make sure the 10% comes off before you pay.

Lensun runs a lot of sales, and most of their hood panels show a sale price right now. Whether TVO10 stacks on top of a sale is up to Lensun, so put it in at checkout and see what the total does. If it doesn't stack, take whichever price is lower.

Why I trust Lensun

So, I've made four videos on Lensun hood panels over the last year. The first one went on my 2007 Tundra in October 2025. In November 2025 we put a 100W panel with the MPPT controller on a 2024 Tacoma and watched the real output in the app. In April 2026 I did a follow-up on the Tundra, and by then it had become one of my favorite upgrades on that truck. Then this October a 5th gen 4Runner got the 120W panel.

The reason why I keep putting these on is pretty simple. Newer Toyotas have a lot of electronics that quietly pull the starting battery down when the truck sits for days. A hood panel keeps it topped off while it's parked, at work, at the trailhead or at home, and it doesn't take up the roof, which is usually where the tent and the rack go.

Which Lensun hood panel fits your truck

Lensun sizes each panel to a specific hood, and some trims with a hood scoop get their own smaller panel. Here's what's on their Toyota hood solar page right now for the trucks I cover:

TruckLensun hood panel
Tacoma 4th gen (2024+)110W, or 35W for the TRD Pro and Sport hood
Tacoma 3rd gen (2016-2023)90W, 46W for the TRD Off Road, or 50W for the TRD Pro and Sport
Tundra 3rd gen (2022+)95W
Tundra 2nd gen (2014-2021)90W, with separate panels for the TRD Pro scoop hood
Tundra 2nd gen (2007-2013)85W (the one on my Tundra)
4Runner 4th and 5th gen (2003-2024)120W, or 80W and 110W panels for hoods with a scoop
4Runner 6th gen (2025+)110W

A couple of the wattages have changed since I filmed. The 2024+ Tacoma panel in my video was a 100W, and Lensun now lists a 110W for that hood. My April 2026 description linked a 90W panel for the 2022+ Tundra, and it's listed as 95W now. They also make panels for the Sequoia, the Land Cruiser 250, the RAV4 and the FJ Cruiser. Compare the product photos to your hood before you order, especially if you have a scoop.

Got a 4Runner? I went deeper on that one in the 4Runner hood solar panel post.

Real output: what to expect

Be realistic here. On the 100W panel on the 2024 Tacoma, I saw about 60 to 80W at peak sun, not the full 100. Angle, temperature and shade all change what you get through the day.

So I look at a hood panel as maintenance charging, not a power plant. It keeps the starting battery topped off and helps cover the small stuff while you're parked: a fridge, a dash cam, or an interior light you forgot to turn off. If you keep a lead-acid battery above about 50%, it lasts longer, and AGM batteries benefit from maintenance charging too.

Get the MPPT controller and the decal

If you're deciding which kit to buy, these are the two add-ons I'd look at:

Install tips from my builds

  1. Lay the vinyl decal down first.
  2. Run the double-sided tape along the edges and the vertical ribs. That's where you get the most hold.
  3. Seal the edges. On the Tundra I used silicone or Sikaflex type sealant around the edge, that way water and debris don't get under it and start lifting it.
  4. Put a fuse close to the battery. Keep the wires away from heat and anything they can rub on in the engine bay.

My verdict

If your truck sits for days at a time, or you daily one rig and park the overland truck, a hood panel is an easy set and forget upgrade. If your roof is already full with a tent and a rack, the hood is the spot that's left for solar. For me personally, the hood panel is one of my favorite upgrades on the Tundra. Get the panel made for your exact hood, add the MPPT controller and the decal, and use TVO10 at checkout.

FAQ

Does LensunSolar have a discount code?

Yes. Code TVO10 takes 10% off at lensunsolar.com. Enter it in the discount code box at checkout.

Does the Lensun code work on sale prices?

That's up to Lensun. Try TVO10 at checkout on the sale price. If it doesn't apply, use whichever price is lower.

Which Lensun hood solar panel fits a 2024 Tacoma?

Lensun lists a 110W panel for the 4th gen Tacoma (2024+) and a separate 35W panel for the TRD Pro and Sport hood.

How much power does a Lensun hood solar panel make?

Less than the rating. On a 100W Lensun panel I saw about 60 to 80W at peak sun. Angle, heat and shade all lower it.

Do you have to drill your hood?

No. Lensun's hood panels go on with adhesive tape. A vinyl decal underneath protects the paint, and on the Tundra I also sealed the edges.
